What are organic or natural wines?

- No herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are used during the cultivation of the vineyard to keep the soil and grapes free of chemicals.
- Natural methods are also used in the creation of wine.
Taking care of ourselves
We are the environment. By drinking organic wines we are giving our support to the art of creating wine in a sustainable way, taking care of the land, to continue living it and enjoying its fruits.
Organic wines have more intact nutritional properties, such as vitamin C and iron.
The processes used for these wines, which avoid excessive chemicals and industrial processes, allow nature to maintain a vibrant purity in the result, with sensations of great freshness and flavor.
At 37 Sur we believe in sustainability, and that it is compatible with quality and enjoyment. We love to explore and collaborate with the producers who create these wonderful wines, and we are pleased to be able to offer them to you, directly from their cellars to your glass.

Domaine Bernatas
Two brothers, two lands
"After having each developed our careers in journalism and newspaper and magazine distribution, we joined forces to create Domaine Bernatas in Limoux (Aude), in the last days of 2018. As close as possible to our family roots, we have the ambition to raise living wines. Wines that express the finesse and freshness of this magnificent terroir, which extends over the foothills of the Pyrenees. In the vineyard and in the winery, we prohibit chemical inputs. We have nature as our companion, through the principles of biodynamics that guide our actions."

Domaine Bernatas represents the dream and work of two brothers who decided to return as much as possible to their Cathar roots, to produce terroir wines, respectful of nature.
The project became a reality with a small vineyard of 7 hectares located in the surroundings of Limoux (La Digne d'Amont, Castelreng and Magrie). It is distributed in six lots on the slopes of some hills, with limestone clay soils, at altitudes between 250 and 410 meters. They have favored a northern exposure, to maintain the freshness of their wines.
Biodynamics guides the work, both in the vineyards and in the cellar: adaptation to the environment, without pesticides or oenological products, and minimum doses of S02 (sulfur dioxide).
They produce mainly white wines in AOP Limoux (Mauzac, Chardonnay and Chenin, in vintages based on lots), and also some reds (Merlot in vintages based on lots, and a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Aramon).

Domaine Bernatas M et nous - Blanc - 2019 Languedoc, Limoux Blanc
Golden color. On the nose: candied lemon, citrus flowers, starry jasmine, spices, and a hint of toast. The palate is very original, powerful, with remarkable tannins and lively acidity. A powerful, long-lasting finish.
According to Jérôme and Stéphane Bernatas:
"A powerful, spicy, mineral white wine with amazing aromatic complexity. Mauzac is a superb grape variety."
